Bring colors (and luck) to your home
First and foremost, let me greet all our Chinese readers “Kung Hei Fat Choy!” and “Gong Xi Fa Cai!.” I hope your celebration went well.
We all know that Chinese has influenced all of us all over the world. Just imagine how many countries have Chinatowns in their land (San Francisco’s Chinatown, is in fact, houses the second biggest Chinese community outside of Asia); their share in the business world (2nd biggest economy and largest exporter); or just simply track down your ancestors (especially Asian people like me), you will surely find a Chinese blood running in your family tree.
A few things that we have adapted or believed in are Chinese Horoscope and Feng Shui, both have the idea of luck. We get a sense of hope that our lives may get better, that we get more fortunate in the coming of each year. Of course, we have our own takes on these subjects. Some believe that a huge portion of one’s life is affected by the person’s luck; some say it is about hard work; and others, they are just playing along, or for the lack of better words, they just wanted to try if these forecasts, lucky charms, and superstitions will benefit them. As they say, “there is no harm in trying.”
Let us do just that. Let us try. Either you take this seriously, or maybe who knows, you just happened to be looking for items that will add pops of colors to your home!
