Travel Edit

Chic selections in a single tab

Okay! I admit when I started travelling way back in college, I always wear uncomfortable clothes and learned to wear comfy ones the hard way.

I sat in numerous flights with my favorite tight jeans not so good especially right after meals. I wore a tube dress and yes, it was cold the whole time goosebumps activated. Regretted checking in my jacket. I wore heels that gave me blisters because I had to brisk walk from the taxi drop-off to the designated gate which was almost a mile. In my defense, I'm in a time crunch. I had an hour to head to the exhibit to set-up. The show starts in an hour right when I landed. I brought a small hand-carry bag like literally a shoulder bag which made my outfit look cute but was definitely lacking essentials like meds, wipes, etc. and that was somewhat annoying. Instances like headache, no pain reliever. Food stain, no wipes to the rescue. Not to mention the belt that was so darn hard to take off before I pass through the body scanner. Embarrassing. I heard the TSA lady telling the other TSA officer, "I don't understand why she had to wear that belt. She'll be sitting her butt the whole time." and she was right but I didn't let her rain on my parade.

I can't help it. I get excited dressing up to travel. I think I'm not the only one who experienced that in general. If you had that phase too, high five! Totally normal!

Well, more than a decade blazed through and I now dress suitably loose sweatpants, warm fluffy jacket, sneakers, layered outfits, medium size hand-carry bag, stretchable leggings. Yes, all of that!

Nowadays, sometimes I am "semi" dressed up especially when I need to go straight to a business-related event. But it's once in a blue moon so here's my travel edit that can also transform or add to your wardrobe;
